Wiesn 2013 – Our impressions

“Flirt Deckel” – need we translate?

After our look at the coolest outfits yesterday, today we’re taking you on a tour of the beer tents of this Wiesn 2013. But before you go asking us where the best atmosphere was, we can’t really say. I mean, not that we had too much to drink or anything but… well, we don’t want to be unfair to the beer gardens later in the day that we couldn’t remember as well as the first ones…

All we will say is that everywhere we looked, there were stunning girls in gorgeous dirndls and strapping lads in lederhosen. We really couldn’t have asked for more – and hardly any of us didn’t end up involved in flirtatious shenanigans with someone!

Schottenhamel is where is the traditional tapping of the keg happens every year – and where, if you ask us, the best atmosphere is to be found.

Here we are in Winzerer Fähndl – also referred to by the brand of beer served as “the Paulaner tent”. An underrated tent which we visited for the first time this year, and to which we are sure to return.

Here’s the richly decorated roof of the Schützenfestzelt, also something of a Munich insiders’ tip and well worth a visit – especially if your a bit of a gourmet.

A late-night view of Käfer’s, the famously “en vogue” tent where everyone who is anyone and who wants to be seen is sure to roll up over the course of the Wiesn. Like us, for example!
